I'll write more later about my reaction to this news! My son wore me out this morning and I've got to lay down. Ay yi yi, what am I going to do with TWO boys? Lord help me find the energy.
so i won't ignore the many times that you commented on my blog that maybe you'd have some pink in your house soon -- so i am sorry you won't have pink - but in all honesty - i am just HAPPY you have a healthy little bug in there!! and with it being another boy, the two boys will be playmates and close friends. I've always said it's very fair to say that most moms wish for at least one girl just as most dads wish for at least one boy - it's just natural since that's what we are familiar with. but having shared your troubles with just getting pregnant in general, i know you feel blessed that the little one is just plugging along and ready to make his arrival! congrats sweet girl!!
After hearing about your day I can only hope Max is the rowdy one between the two and our next little sweetie will be calm and patient. HA!! Here's hoping!
The title of my blog was inspired by the Elizabeth Bishop poem, The Moose. "One stop at Bass River. / Then the Economies- / Lower, Middle, Upper; / Five Islands, Five Houses, / where a woman shakes her tablecloth / out after supper."
My dad nicknamed me "Moose" shortly after I was born. Not really related to the poem, just an embarrassing name to follow me throughout my formative teenage years.
high hopes
the ballerina thing didn't work out...neither did gymnastics (that one REALLY didn't work out), softball, baseball, soccer (the worst!), basketball...nor did my hopes of being an astronomer, a special education teacher, a fashion icon, a piano prodigy, marrying Jon Bon Jovi, or being stinkin' rich. But I'll tell ya what did work out. I am a 36-yr old wife and mom who is learning as I go. I have 2 blonde-haired sons, a dog who pees in the hallway and prefers the toilet to his water dish, and a husband who looks like Russell Crowe (yay! although he says he looks like the man who ATE Russell Crowe). Aaaahhh, my Cinderella Man.
Yayyyy! I am excited for two boys!
ReplyDeleteAww how exciting! So happy for you. Hope your nap happened!
